Privacy Policy — HC Hose Assembly
Last updated: October 14, 2026
HC Hose Assembly (the “app”) is a tool from Hydraulic Connections that helps our customers work out the parts, cut length and price of a hydraulic hose assembly. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used. The short version: it collects the minimum needed to let our customers log in, and it does not track you, show ads, or sell anything.
Who we are
Hydraulic Connections, 250 Vreeland Ave, Paterson, NJ 07504, USA · (973) 925-5670 · orders@hydraulicconnections.com
Who the app is for
The app is for Hydraulic Connections' business customers. Each customer company is given a login (its customer code), and people at a company can ask for their own individual login. It is not intended for children and is not offered to the general public.
What we collect
- Your login details: your customer code or, if you asked for an individual login, your name, email address (your username) and the customer code of your company, and your password. The password is never stored as typed: only a scrambled, salted hash of it is kept, so it cannot be read back by anyone, including us.
- Password requests. If you tap “I forgot my password”, we record your customer code or email and the time, so we can get you a new one.
- Account requests. If you ask for an individual login, we keep your name, email address, company and the time of the request until Hydraulic Connections approves or declines it, and afterwards while the login exists.
- Sign-in attempts. To stop password guessing, we briefly count sign-in attempts per customer code and network address for a few minutes. These counts are deleted automatically.
- Parts you look up. The part numbers behind an assembly you are pricing are sent to our server to fetch current prices. We do not keep a record of your assemblies or quotes.
- Standard server records. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes ordinary technical request information, such as network address and device type, to deliver the app securely.
The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or advertising identifier. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking software.
Cookies
The app uses one cookie, to keep you logged in. It does not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
How the information is used
- to log you in and show you your account's pricing;
- to look up current prices and availability from Hydraulic Connections;
- to protect the app from misuse; and
- to answer password requests and support questions.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is processed only by the services needed to run the app: Cloudflare (hosting and database), and, for password and account requests, a notification service that tells Hydraulic Connections staff that someone asked (it carries the customer code, or the name and email of the person asking).
Security and retention
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Account information is kept for as long as your company is a Hydraulic Connections customer. Password requests are kept only as long as needed to handle them.
Your choices
You can change your password at any time from the login page. To ask what we hold about your login, correct it, or have your login removed, contact us using the details above.
How to request deletion of your data
To have your login and the information we hold about it deleted, contact Hydraulic Connections by email at orders@hydraulicconnections.com or by phone at (973) 925-5670 (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern). Tell us your customer code (and your email if you have an individual login) and company name, and say you want your login deleted.
We will confirm the request comes from your company, remove your login so the app no longer lets you in, and delete the password requests we hold for it. We will confirm by email or phone, normally within 30 days.
What is deleted: your login (the customer code login, or your individual login with your name and email), its stored password hash, and any password requests linked to it. What is not kept in the first place: the assemblies and quotes you build, which we never store. Short-lived sign-in counts are deleted automatically within minutes. Ordinary server records held by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) are removed on its own schedule.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
